Marius physician

Marius was a Roman physician during the 1st century AD. In 38 AD, he was called to the Gallio household to help heal the dying slave Demetrius, but he predicted that Demetrius would die soon. He was humiliated when Peter, a Jewish fisherman, arrived in the house and miraculously healed Demetrius, and Marius accused Peter of practicing illegal sorcery. Marius then stormed out of the house in a jealous fit of rage, and he may have alerted the Roman Army to Marcellus Gallio's "treason", leading to his capture and martyrdom.
