
Mario Henao Vallejo (26 January 1942-23 November 1989) was a Colombian drug trafficker from the Medellin Cartel and the brother-in-law of Pablo Escobar.
Biography[]
Mario Henao Vallejo was born in Envigado, Antioquia, Colombia in 1942, the brother of Maria Henao. He became Pablo Escobar's brother-in-law after Escobar married his 15-year-old sister in 1976, and, while he and his family did not accept their relationship, they were ultimately forced to accept it. Henao became a drug trafficker for his brother-in-law's Medellin Cartel, and he was gunned down by a police helicopter during a Search Bloc raid on a farm in Cocoma, Search Bloc's first major blow against the cartel.
