Biography[]

Shiraishi in December 1988
Marina Shiraishi was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1959, and she was employed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department as a police officer before being assigned to investigate corruption in the real estate industry. She was hired as real estate businessman Sojuro Yamanoi's secretary in 1988, working at his office in the Sugita Building on Tenkaichi Street in Kabukicho. She kept her past a secret, and she later served as Kazuma Kiryu's business mentor and helped him conduct interviews for new employees. Her work with Yamanoi's company allowed her to discover that the Finance King had been manipulating the other members of the "Five Billionaires" club to defeat Kiryu and take over the entirety of Kabukicho, and she prevented Yamanoi from shooting the Finance King, revealing herself to be a police officer and instead announcing that the Finance King was under arrest, and would likely be in prison for a long sentence. She also ensured that the other four of the "Five Billionaires" - who had shown remorse for their actions - worked to improve Kabukicho by working with Yamanoi's agency, and she decided to stay with the company for the time being, although she hoped that she would be made the company's supervising officer due to her managerial skills.
