
Maria Cardona (12 November 1966-) was a Democratic strategist and CNN political commentator.
Biography[]
Maria Cardona was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1966, and she moved to the United States with her family at the age of two and settled in Leesburg, Florida. She worked for the Department of Commerce for five years before serving as communications director for the Immigration and Naturalization Service from 1998 to 2001, as communications director for the Democratic National Committee from 2001 to 2003, as vice president for media relations for the New Democrats in 2003, as a senior advisor to Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign, and then, after 2011, as a CNN political commentator.
