Maria Anna of Bavaria 1551-1608

Maria Anna of Bavaria (21 March 1551-29 April 1608) was the Archduchess Consort of Austria from 26 August 1571 to 10 July 1590 as the wife of Charles II, Archduke of Austria. Born in Munich, Bavaria to Albert V of Bavaria and Archduchess Anna of Austria, Maria Anna was a member of the House of Wittelsbach. Her mother was the daughter of Emperor Ferdinand I of Germany, and she married Ferdinand's son Charles II of Austria, her own uncle. They had fifteen children, including Ferdinand II of Germany. She died in Graz, Austria in 1608.
