Margaret of England (29 September 1240 – 26 February 1275) was the Queen Consort of Scotland with King Alexander III of Scotland from 1251 to 1275.

Biography[]

Margaret of England was the daughter of King Henry III of England and Eleanor of Provence, and she was married to King Alexander III of Scotland in 1251 at the age of 11. She disliked Scotland and wrote poorly of her adoptive country to her family in letters, and she killed a courtier who allegedly killed her uncle Simon V de Montfort. She died at the age of 34 in 1275.
