Maresuke Shime (1971-8 December 2005) was a Japanese MIA agent. On 8 December 2005, MIA Director Kyohei Jingu dispatched him with a team of MIA agents to kidnap his estranged daughter Haruka Sawamura and hold her hostage at Club Stardust, where fellow MIA agent Jiro Ashikaga brought Haruka's friends Kazuma Kiryu and Makoto Date. There, Shime demanded that Kiryu toss over Haruka's pendant (the key to the ¥10 billion stolen from Jingu by Yumi Sawamura and Shintaro Kazama) in exchange for Haruka's freedom, and, while Kiryu initially agreed, Date intervened once it became clear that the MIA intended to renege upon the deal, grabbing Haruka and helping her dodge a bullet fired by Ashikaga, which ultimately grazed her arm. Kiryu proceeded to beat down all of the MIA agents, but, before he could force Shime to reveal who he was working for, Ashikaga shot Shime in the head and fled the club.
