Marcus Griggs (born 23 October 1994) is an American marine holding the rank of Sergeant in the US Marine Corps, as well as being the commanding officer of the Demon Dogs task force. Having been inspired to join the military after his older brother, Jackson Griggs, was killed in an operation against Imran Zakhaev, he eventually rose to the position of Sergeant and commanding officer of the Demon Dogs.

On 29 October 2019, Griggs and his Demon Dogs participated alongside CIA operative Alex Keller in Operation Hunting Party; the goal of this was to capture al-Qatala leader Omar Sulaman at a hospital in downtown Aleppo. The mission was a success, with Sulaman being brought to the US Embassy in Damascus.

On 3 March 2020, the Demon Dogs were invited to join the newly-founded Armistice, made to fight off the AQ invasion of the DPR. Though he did not participate in ground combat until the final moments of the operation, he did act as overwatch for his unit during their time in Donetsk.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Marcus Griggs was born on October 23, 1994, in Atlanta, Georgia. He idolized his older brother, Jackson Griggs, and aspired to be like him when he grew up. In 2011, when Jackson was killed during an operation against Imran Zakhaev, Marcus didn't know the true circumstances of his death but was furious. He immediately signed up for the US Marine Corps and eventually participated in World War III on both the American and European fronts.

Military service[]

His actions in WWIII earned him a fast track to the rank of Sergeant and command of a multi-branch counter-terrorist task force: the Demon Dogs. Griggs participated in many classified operations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. On 29 October 2019, the Demon Dogs were assigned to rendezvous with CIA operative Alex in Aleppo and then capture al-Qatala leader Omar Sulaman at a downtown hospital.

Operation Hunting Party[]

Though encountering heavy resistance immediately outside the hospital, the Demon Dogs pushed through to the lobby and ascended multiple floors, taking out dozens of AQ terrorists along the way, including an MG nest and a hidden enemy among many wounded civilians. Though a recon force of Demon Dogs were captured earlier and were soon to be executed, Alex successfully sneaked behind Sulaman and tackled him to the ground; the room was immediately breached and cleared of all enemies. After securing Sulaman, he was transported to the US Embassy in Damascus.

Donetsk invasion[]

Much later, on 3 March 2020, the Demon Dogs were invited to the Armistice to combat Khaled al-Asad's invasion of the DPR. Though Griggs never participated in ground combat, he did serve as overwatch for his unit during the invasion. He found out about what exactly happened to his brother from Captain John Price himself, invigorating him to capture or kill the surviving Viktor Zakhaev. Griggs eventually assisted in the attack on Bunker 10, allowing Price to put an end to Zakhaev once and for all.
