Marco the Rat was a Morales Cartel associate who lived in Los Toros, Mexico during the 2000s. In 2005, he cheated the Virgillo brothers at a game of poker at the El Macho strip club in the red light district, causing them to send their hitmen to kill him. Marco was rescued by the undercover DEA agent Ramiro Cruz, whom he arranged to meet Cesar Morales as repayment for his help.
