
Marco Antonio Gentile (1720-1798) was the Doge of Genoa from 1781 to 1783.
Biography[]
Gentile was born to a noble family of the Republic of Genoa in the city of Genoa in 1720, and became one of the oligarchs of the nation. In 1781 he was elected to become Doge, but after confrontations with the conservative party of the country, he was deposed in 1783. He died at the age of 78 in 1798.
