The March 14 Alliance is a coalition of anti-Syrian parties in Lebanon, formed on 14 March 2005 by Saad Hariri and Michel Moawad to oppose the pro-Syria and Hezbollah-led March 8 Alliance. It was named for the date of the Cedar Revolution against Syria, on which it was founded, and it gained 60/128 seats in the Lebanese Parliament. Most of its followers are either Sunni Muslim or Christians, while the March 8 Alliance consists mostly of Shia Muslims.
