Marc Arnaud (1473-) was a nobleman and general of the Kingdom of France during the Italian Wars.
Biography[]
Marc Arnaud was born in France in 1473 to a noble family, and he was adopted by the future King Louis XII of France in 1494. Arnaud was known for his high command skills, for his immense loyalty to the House of Valois, and for his Catholic piety, and he served as a governor for several years. During the Italian War of 1494-98, Arnaud provided reinforcements for Evrart de Balliol at the Siege of Asti, and he became Governor of Asti after its conquest.
