
Manobu Wakatsuki (23 August 1914 – 17 August 1942) was an Imperial Japanese Army Private First Class during World War II. He was killed during the Makin Raid.
Biography[]
Manobu Wakatsuki was born in Maizuru, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan on 23 August 1914, and he enlisted in the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. Wakatsuki served as army officer Shihei Okura's assistant on Makin island, and Okura had Wakatsuki kill Private Kevin Pyle before sending him to kill Charlie Miller. However, Cpl. Ben Roebuck stabbed him with a knife before he could do so, saving Miller.
