Manoah (died 1117 BC) was an Israelite man, the wife of Hazelelponit, and the father of Samson. A member of the Tribe of Dan, he lived in the city of Zorah and fathered Samson in 1155 BC. He and his wife disapproved of their son's betrothal to the Philistine woman Semadar in 1137 BC. In 1117 BC, the Philistines stoned Manoah and whipped his wife in a bid to lure Samson out from his guerrilla campaign and capture him.
