Manny Escuela was born in South Bronx, The Bronx, New York City on September 30th 1973, the son of Puerto Rican immigrants. Escuela was involved with crime and gang activities as a youth, becoming a member of the Spanish Lords gang and dealing (and using) heroin. Escuela later decided to mend his ways, giving up a life of crime and drugs to become a community leader. Escuela was involved with the St. Mary's Community Project at the local community recreation center, and he decided to make his own reality television show with Jay Hamilton that detailed his crusade to clean up the streets.

Escuela and Hamilton's bodies

In 2008, Escuela hired gunman Niko Bellic to exterminate several drug dealers in The Bronx, including some of his old friends, and Escuela and Jay Hamilton would show up after each murder to film the crime scene and take credit for Bellic's actions. Escuela annoyed many due to his arrogance and pretentiousness, and he met his fate when he attempted to film himself convincing Elizabeta Torres to stop selling drugs. A cocaine-addicted and paranoid Torres shot Escuela and his cameraman due to them irritating her, and she had Bellic deliver their bodies to a black market doctor, who sold their organs to people in need.
