The Mandarin Duck Formation (Ji Xiao Xin Shu) was a military formation of the Imperial Chinese Army. It consisted of a squad leader, 2 Rattan Shields, 2 men with multiple tip bamboo spears, 4 men with long spears, 2 men with tridents, and one cook. If the leader died, the squad was put to death. The newer formation was 8 Chu Ko Nus and 1 Flamethrower.
