Malca

Malca is an arid, mountainous province of Bolivia, with Uma Marca serving as its capital. Bordering the Altiplano to the east, Malca is located on a mountain chain and is mostly arid and poor. Its economy long depended on copper mining, sheep farming, and potato cultures; Uma Marca was dedicated to mining, Icoya to llama-raising, and Banado to mining. During the 2010s, the Santa Blanca Cartel moved into the province and cultivated a cult to Santa Muerte, transforming Banado into a cult center and building a large cathedral to Santa Muerte. While the majority of the population practiced both shamanism and Catholicism, they resisted the Cult of Santa Muerte and supported Kataris 26's efforts to burn those buildings.
