Makino Tadayuki (22 October 1824 – 1 September 1878) was the daimyo of the Nagaoka Domain from 1858 to 1867.
Biography[]
Tadayuki was a roju (elder) of the Tokugawa Shogunate Bakufu and was the 55th Governor (Shoshidai) of Kyoto, serving from 1862 to 1863. He was loyal to the Tokugawa shoguns due to their support for his clan, and he fought for the Shogunate during the Boshin War. After the capture of Nagaoka in 1869 by the Imperial forces, he fled to the Aizu Domain and Sendai Domain and went into exile. He died in Tokyo in 1878.
