The Majima-gumi was the largest subsidiary of the Tojo-kai yakuza organization of Japan. It was founded during the early 1990s with Goro Majima as its boss, and, while Majima initially decided to leave the Tojo-kai in 2006 due to disagreements with chairman Yukio Terada, Kazuma Kiryu persuaded him to return to the Tojo-kai a year later. Majima's unpredictable attitude led to the Majima-gumi becoming a considerable force, and it operated Majima Construction in the Kabukicho neighborhood of Tokyo.
