Magic Shield (1833-14 April 1876) was a Lakota Sioux war chief and the headman of the village of Chaŋpȟá Wakpála (present-day Cherry Creek, South Dakota) during the late 19th century. During the Black Hills War, he led his tribe in a war against the American settlers of nearby Liberty, and he was killed by the US Army at the Battle of Cherry Creek on 14 April 1876.
