Madison Square Garden

Madison Square Garden (MSG), colloquially known as The Garden, is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The arena is located on Madison Square, which was named for President James Madison, and previous arenas existed on the location from 1879 to 1890 and from 1890 to 1925. The current garden opened on 11 February 1968, and it is the oldest major sporting facility in the New York metropolitan area. It is used for basketball, ice hockey, boxing, concerts, ice shows, circuses, professional wrestling, and other forms of sports and entertainment.
