The M72 Light Anti-Tank Weapon (LAW) is a one-shot anti-tank weapon that was developed in 1963 by the United States and employed during the Vietnam War. In early 1963, the US Army and US Marine Corps adopted the M72 LAW as their main anti-tank weapon, and it remained so until 1987, when the AT-4 replaced the M72. The United States supplied the weapon to its allies, and it was therefore employed in the Falklands War, Bougainville Civil War, Bosnian War, Afghanistan War, and Iraq War.
