The M60 is a light machine gun that was introduced into the US Military in 1957, serving with every branch of the United States' armed forces. The M60 notably saw service in the Vietnam War, Laotian Civil War, and Cambodian Civil War in the 1960s with the US Army and US Marine Corps, and the weapon would later be sent to Western Bloc allies while also remaining a part of the US arsenal. It therefore continued to see action in The Troubles, Operation Just Cause, Gulf War, Afghanistan War, Iraq War, Colombian Conflict, Bougainville Civil War, and Moro Conflict.
