Lykaretos, son of Telemachos (457 BC-) was a Spartan hoplite who served in the Spartan military during the Peloponnesian War. In 422 BC, while stationed in Corinthia, he came across the mercenary Kassandra and accused her of murdering his general, Stentor of Sparta. However, Kassandra replied that Stentor had been her brother, and Lykaretos apologized and realized that the mercenary Philokypros the Heretic must have been the murderer. He then asked Kassandra to kill Philokypros, but Kassandra had already done so, and Lykaretos promptly gave her a monetary reward and thanked her for her service to Sparta.
