Luwai Guler (died 1191) was a wealthy nobleman of the Sultanate of Damascus.
Biography[]
Luwai Guler was born in the Sultanate of Damascus to a wealthy merchant family, and he funded Salah ad-Din's campaign against the Third Crusade in 1189-1192. Guler was invited to the lavish party of Abu'l Nuqoud in 1191 because of his support to Salah ad-Din, and like the other guests, was poisoned or shot down by archers; he was poisoned by the wine.
