
Luther Egbert Hall (30 August 1869-6 November 1921) was the Democratic Governor of Louisiana from 14 May 1912 to 9 May 1916, succeeding Jared Y. Sanders Sr. and preceding Ruffin G. Pleasant.
Biography[]
Luther Egbert Hall was born in Bastrop, Louisiana in 1869, and he practiced law before serving as a state senator from 1898 to 1900, as a state district judge from 1900 to 1906, as a state appellate judge from 1906 to 1911, as Governor from 1912 to 1916, and as assistant attorney general from 1918 until his death in 1921.
