Luther Badger

Luther Badger (10 April 1785-30 October 1868) was a member of the US House of Representatives (NR-NY 23) from 4 March 1825 to 3 March 1827, succeeding Elisha Litchfield and preceding Jonas Earll Jr.. Born in Partridgefield, Massachusetts, he was raised in Harpursville, New York and worked as a schoolteacher before practicing law in New Hartford and Jamesville. He also served as a brigadier-general in the state militia, in Congress, as Broome County district attorney from 1847 to 1849, and as a lawyer in Jordan, New York.
