
Luis Larrea Alba (25 October 1894-17 April 1979) was President of Ecuador from 24 August to 15 October 1931, succeeding Isidro Ayora and preceding Alfredo Baquerizo.
Biography[]
Luis Larrea Alba was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 1894. He served in the Ecuadorian Army before entering politics with the Ecuadorian Radical Liberal Party, and he served as interim president after Isidro Ayora's 1931 resignation. In 1944, he participated in the 28 May Revolution, heading the Guayaquil junta that overthrew President Carlos Arroyo del Rio. He died in 1978.
