
Luis Barros Borgono (26 March 1858-26 July 1943) was President of Chile from 1 October to 23 December 1925, succeeding Arturo Alessandri and preceding Emiliano Figueroa.
Biography[]
Luis Barros Borgono was born in Santiago, Chile on 26 March 1858, and he became a lawyer in 1880 and served as Minister of War and the Navy in 1890, 1892, and from 1895 to 1896, as Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1894 and 1918, and Minister of Finance in 1901. In 1925, he briefly served as acting President of Chile following Arturo Alessandri's resignation and before Emiliano Figueroa's election to succeed Alessandri.
