Luis Alberto Riart

Luis Alberto Riart (21 June 1880-1 October 1953) was President of Paraguay from 17 March to 15 August 1924, interrupting Eligio Ayala's terms.

Biography[]

Luis Alberto Riart was born in Esquina, Argentina in 1880, and he served as President of the Paraguayan Institute from 1906 to 1916 before serving as Finance Minister from 1916 to 1917. He went on to serve as President from March to August 1924 after Eligio Ayala's resignation, and he later served as Finance Minister from 1931 to 1932, as State Secretary from 1935 to 1936, and as Vice President from 1939 to 1940.
