Luigi Fusco

Luigi Fusco (died 1948) was an Italian-American mobster who served as a caporegime in the Tattaglia crime family.

Biography[]

Luigi Fusco worked as a caporegime and drug trafficker for the Tattaglia family, using New Jersey women to smuggle drugs to the East Coast from California. Fusco often violated his couriers, putting him at odds with members of the other families. In 1948, the Corleone crime family marked Fusco for death as part of their expansion into New Jersey, and Rocco Lampone dispatched Aldo Trapani to murder Fusco with a lead pipe. After gunning down Fusco's bodyguards, Trapani bludgeoned the sleazy trafficker to death.
