Luccio Veneto (1438-1500) was a condotierro. A Venetian, he was a merchant of death rather than silk. Veneto fought for Venice in their wars with their own barons as well as other Italian States, and also fought France in the 1490s, culminating at the Battle of Piedimonte Matese, where he was mortally wounded at the age of 62.
