Luca Silvestri

Luca Silvestri (25 October 1978 – 2008) was a soldato in the Pegorino crime family of the New Jersey American Mafia. Silvestri belonged to Ray Boccino's crew, and he was sent to collect some stolen diamonds for the family in 2008. However, Silvestri, Johnny Barbosa, Joe DiLeo, and Manny Armatta instead planned to steal the diamonds for themselves, and Boccino had his hitman Niko Bellic retrieve the diamonds; Bellic killed the whole crew in Central Park and brought the diamonds back to Boccino.

Biography[]

Luca Silvestri was born in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1978 to a family of Italian descent. Silvestri was a small-time criminal in North Jersey before becoming an enforcer for the Pegorino crime family; he was arrested in 1993 for hijacking, in 1995 for armed robbery, and in 1997 for manslaughter. Silvestri would later become a "made member" of the family as a member of Ray Boccino's crew, and he would lead a sub-crew that included Johnny Barbosa, Joe DiLeo, and Manny Armatta. In 2008, Silvestri and his sub-crew members were sent to dress up as garbage men and collect some garbage bags containing stolen diamonds, and the crew did this with the help of Niko Bellic. Silvestri plotted against Bellic with the others, planning to steal the diamonds and blame their theft on Bellic. However, Boccino found out that the diamonds were missing, and he sent Bellic to retrieve them.

Bellic drove over to Silvestri's hangout at Battery Park, where Silvestri and his crew was hanging out in their car. Silvestri told Bellic that he was going to blame him for the loss of the diamonds, as he planned to spend his money in Las Vegas and live a luxurious life there. The mobsters sped off in their car, and Bellic followed them to Central Park, where their car crashed. Silvestri fled into the public toilets as his crew was massacre, and Bellic shot open the stall door with a shotgun. Silvestri begged for his life, attempting to bribe Bellic, but Bellic shot Silvestri in the head with a pistol; his body fell over, flushing the toilet as it slumped to the floor.
