The Lovat Scouts is a British Army Scottish Highland yeomanry regiment which was founded in 1900. It was formed during the Second Boer War from gamekeepers recruited from Highland estates, and it became the first military unit to wear Ghillie suits in battle. The Lovat Scouts also served in World War I, in World War II, and in the Greek Civil War. The Lovat Scouts survived into the 21st century as a battery of the 1 Highlanders Battalion Army Cadet Force.
