
Louise Ellman (born 14 November 1945) was the Labour Party MP for Liverpool Riverside from 1 May 1997 to 6 November 2019, succeeding Robert Parry and preceding Kim Johnson.
Biography[]
Louise Ellman was born in Manchester, England in 1945 to a Jewish family, and she was a lecturer for Open University before entering politics with the Labour Party. She served as MP for Liverpool Riverside from 1997 to 2019, when she stood down, having resigned from the party due to her opposition to its institutional anti-Semitism.
