Louis Barnaby Gregg was a general of the Texian Army and a Senator of the Republic of Texas from Houston County. Gregg fought in the Texas Revolution and helped in repelling Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna's Mexican army, and he joined the Texian Democratic Party under his commanding officer, Sam Houston.
