Louie Romeo (born 1897) was an Italian-American mobster and the Don of the Romeo crime family in Los Angeles, California in the early to mid-20th century. Romeo was sent by the Commission to oversee and control operations on the West Coast, forming his own family in that time. He has stakes in gambling dens, Hollywood, and many of the high society establishments across Los Angeles.
Romeo controls the unions, launders money and regularly blackmails studio executives into doing his bidding. His power is such that he is openly known as a criminal, though no-one dared to step to him out of fear.
