Los Pelones is a Mexican drug cartel based in Guerrero, Mexico. It was founded in 2004 as an enforcement wing of the Sinaloa Cartel, and they were named "The Bald Ones" because new members shaved their heads into military-style haircuts. Following the death of Arturo Beltran Leyva, the group split off to become an independent cartel on 27 December 2012, and they reaffiliated with the Gulf Cartel. In June 2020, the fragmentation of Gulf Cartel led to Los Pelones becoming an independent cartel.
