
Los Mártires is a locality in Bogotá, Colombia. Los Mártires was named for Francisco Jose de Caldas, Jorge Tadeo Lozano, Marcedes Abrego, and Camilo Torres Tenorio, who were shot at the Plaza de Los Mártires in 1816, and a monument to the martyrs was completed in 1880. The area underwent gentrification during the 20th century, and its highly dangerous "Bronx" neighborhood experienced urban renewal after 2016. By 2022, Los Mártires had 83,142 residents.
