Lorence Johnson

Lorence Johnson (born 1973) was an Irish-British intelligence officer who lived in Westminster, London during the 2020s.

Biography[]

Lorence Johnson was born in Ireland in 1973. Johnson joined Britain's MI5 and became a veteran intelligence officer, investigating terrorist and far-right groups. By 2020, he rented luxury watches regularly, toured the European Processing Centre, attended the funeral of a TOAN bombing victim, and invested in Nudle. He sympathized with DedSec, liking a DedSec post challenging Albion's unchecked authority.

In 2020, he was contacted by DedSec operative Tracy Coyne on the streets of Westminster, and he told her that one of his undocumented friends had been nabbed by the Albion mercenaries, and that he would need a forged passport for his friend Beth Fulbright to ensure that he would never face deportation again. Coyne stole a van of fake passports from Clan Kelley at Guy's Hospital and then headed to free Johnson's friend from Albion captivity at E-STROM in Lambeth. After Coyne's success, Johnson agreed to work for DedSec.

Johnson's first act was to infiltrate the Albion base at Southwark Auto Conversions, and Albion guard Karen Olszewski accidentally shot the computer used to oversee Albion's armored car assembly while attempting to shoot at a spiderbot sent out by Johnson. Johnson was then able to escape the premises following a shootout, having (with the inadvertent help of Albion) completed his task.

Johnson then set out to recruit boxer Badih Abou Samra into DedSec, travelling to Crescent Park in Camden Town to track down a Clan Kelley enforcer who had been attempting to extort him. He located Dolores Watson in a small building in the park, where she was beating Beth Robertson. Johnson engaged in a brief shootout with Clan Kelley before stunning Watson and freeing Robertson, and he then rushed to Camden High Street to warn Abou Samra about the approach of Clan Kelley reinforcements. He proceeded to gun down Jennifer Ward and her Clan Kelley hit squad, and he recruited Abou Samra into DedSec. Later, while setting out to recruit former SIRS agent Nathan Dawson by infiltrating the MI6 building in Vauxhall, he found Albion guard Brad Robertson harassing technology VP Hichem Ben as he left Vauxhall Station, and, after he beat down Robertson, Ben agreed to join DedSec in gratitude.

Johnson then infiltrated the MI6 headquarters, where he sought to hack into Dawson's rival Gabriel Smith's email server to soil his reputation and win Dawson's allegiance. However, he ultimately opted to beat Smith down by pistol-whipping him, and Dawson then expressed a willingness to talk with Johnson. Johnson infiltrated the Ministry of Civil Management with the hope of talking to Dawson and sealing his commitment. He heard that Dawson's undocumented friends had disappeared, and that they had last called him from a known Clan Kelley hideout. Johnson then went to investigate the Around LDN Bus Depot in Southwark, where Clan Kelley had been detaining and smuggling the immigrants. He beat down the captain Egan McGrath after distracting the guards with two car explosions, and he then rescued Ruth Almheiri and escorted her to safety before calling Dawson and recruiting him.

Johnson then set about liberating Southwark, first heading to the Civil Aviation Traffic Office, infiltrating the Albion base there and hacking the mainframe. It showed him a camera in the cockpit of a plane carrying accused whistleblowers to a prison, and he hacked the plane and rerouted it to a safe airport where the local authorities would grant them asylum. He then escaped the base, and he contacted James Tsoy to help him infiltrate Southwark Residential and take down the propaganda there.
