The Long Island City parking lot shootout occurred on an afternoon in the spring of 2008 when Niko Bellic engaged in a shootout with several Russian Mafia criminals at a parking lot in Long Island City, New York City, with the goal of killing Adam Dimayev. Bellic had been sent to kill Dimayev by the Central Intelligence Agency, as Dimayev was a suspected terrorist, and Bellic killed all but one Russian gangster, sparing Yeremey S. Yashin after he dropped his gun.
