Logan Heights Gang

The Logan Heights Gang was a gang of Surenos from San Diego, California, formed in the 1960s. The gang's membership consisted mostly of Mexican-Americans, but it would also grow to include Mexican nationals, other Hispanics, and Native Americans as it expanded into Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Colorado, Minnesota, and Washington. In 1993, the gang sent a squad of hired hitmen to assist the Tijuana Cartel at the 1993 Guadalajara International Airport shootout, during which the gang members accidentally killed Cardinal Juan Jesus Posadas Ocampo in a failed attempt to assassinate Sinaloa Cartel leader Joaquin Guzman Loera. The came came to be allied with the Tijuana Cartel, other Surenos, and the Mexican Mafia.
