Lobster Cay is an island in the Bahamas, located to the south of Florida. The island was one of the two main islands (along with Black Sands) involved in the drug trade of the 1980s, as it was lawless and inhabited almost solely by criminals and drug traffickers. The island was owned by The Sandman, a drug lord, but its roads were preyed upon by highwaymen equipped with assault rifles and riding on technicals. The western shore of Lobster Cay was home to The Sandman's cocaine plantation, while the north was home to a village, and the south was home to the Venus Bar. In 1984, The Sandman gave Tony Montana control of the island and its drug production, and large quantities of cocaine were smuggled from the island to Miami.
