Liwa al-Quds

Liwa al-Quds was a Palestinian Ba'athist militia that fought for Palestinian nationalism and resisted the Syrian Opposition during the Syrian Civil War. The group consisted mostly of Sunni Palestinian volunteers from the al-Nayrab district of Aleppo, and it fought for the Syrian Arab Republic against the Islamist rebels. In 2015, it helped the Syrian Arab Army in opening the supply routes to Aleppo, and in 2016 it took part in clashes around the abandoned Handarat refugee camp.
