Ling Tong (189-237) was a Wu general and son of Ling Cao. Upon joining Wu, he tried to seek vengeance for his father on Gan Ning and was reproached by Lu Meng and Sun Quan. Later, when fighting with Yue Jin of Wei, his life was saved by Gan Ning, upon which he made peace and swore an oath of friendship. However, on the battlefield, their rivalry continued as they competed to see who was the better warrior.
