The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is a large rectangular reflecting pool located on the National Mall of Washington DC, directly east of the Lincoln Memorial and west of the Washington Monument. It was built from 1922 to 1923 and filled with 6.75 million gallons of water, and it has since become a major landmark of the city.
