Libertad

Libertad is a forested province of Bolivia, with Libertad City serving as its capital. Named for the concept of liberty, the province follows the high valley of Rio Uruqui, and the whole of the valley is wooded. Libertad developed an important silviculture, while its abundance of mineral resources led to the exploitation of large gas deposits by Via-B Gas. Via-B Gas established its headquarters in Libertad City, while the village of Viloma accommodated Via-B Gas laborers and Pa Kollu acquired a reputation of being a center of withcraft. During the 2010s, the Santa Blanca Cartel smuggled precusor chemicals into Bolivia through Via-B Gas and the Libertad Airport, and the young chemist Marcus Jensen was sent to supervise the drug manufacturing network in Libertad province. In 2019, American special forces destroyed most of Via-B Gas' oil derricks to pressure its CEO to cut his ties with the cartel, and Jensen's capture weakened the cartel's hold on the province.
