Liberal conservatism is a conservative political ideology combining conservative policies with liberal stances on social and ethical issues. Liberal conservatism supports the classical liberal view of minimal governmental intervention in the economy, and that individuals should be free to participate in the economy and amass wealth without governmental interference. The ideology also supports civil liberties along with some social conservative views; liberal conservatism supported the liberal concepts of individual freedom and human rights.
