The Liberal Democratic Party was a liberal political party in Chile that existed from 1893 to 1933. The party was founded in Talca on 5 November 1893, consisting of the supporters of Jose Manuel Balmaceda. The party sought to return to a strong presidency, a type of government seen before the Chilean Civil War of 1891, and it split into two factions in 1930. In 1933, the party merged into the Liberal Party of Chile.
