Lev Vladimirsky

Lev Vladimirsky (27 September 1903-7 September 1973) was an Admiral of the Soviet Union during World War II.

Biography[]

Lev Vladimirsky was born on 27 September 1903 in Guryev, Kazakh ASSR, Soviet Union (present-day Atyrau, Kazakhstan). Vladimirsky joined the Red Army during the Russian Civil War, and he fought against insurgents in Turkestan. Vladimirsky was later promoted to Admiral of the Soviet Navy, and he helped in the defense of Odessa and Sevastopol during World War II. He also took part in the capture of Vyborg in 1944, and after the war he held many roles in the navy. He died in 1973 at the age of 69.
